Role Description
We’re seeking an HR Generalist to contribute to the impact of the People & Culture team. Exact responsibilities can vary based on expertise, interest, and team/company priorities, but this is an opportunity to learn all aspects of HR, particularly recruiting and manager partnership/training from an experienced team. We’re at an exciting phase with immense growth planned for the company, and it is critical to maintain high levels of engagement and satisfaction to achieve our audacious business goals and preserve our special culture.

This capable doer will have a rare view into strategic initiatives and opportunities to drive programs, projects, and policies to enable growth and success at scale.

The HR Generalist, People & Culture will report to the VP, People & Culture and will be located in our Global HQ near Bryant Park in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and onboard top talent: Partner with hiring managers to clearly define roles, identify a sourcing strategy including agency partners, assess candidates, and make quality hiring decisions. Shepherd candidates from recruitment through onboarding to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Perceive and solve problems: Listen, observe, and think critically about what’s going on, perceive problems and raise them to the right people. Where applicable, work with managers to diagnose problems to learn from them, co-create solutions to minimize recurrence
  • Administer performance programs: Partner with HRBPs and managers to ensure employees have clear responsibilities and receive regular feedback to inform their development. Facilitate annual performance reviews, learn to conduct developmental workshops, 360s, or other activities as needed.
  • Deliver training: Partner with HRBPs to identify training needs and efficient/effective methods of delivery across management best practices, cultural standards, and legal mandates.
  • Shape Capitolis’s Culture: Consistently demonstrate Company Values and People Attributes, train others to do the same, provide useful feedback/hold others accountable, and partner with leadership to evolve the culture
  • Collaborate cross functionally: Partner with other members of the People & Culture team (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, HRBPs) and other departments (e.g., Finance, Marketing) to advance company goals
  • Resolve ER issues: Handle sensitive matters in collaboration with HRBPs and Legal, perceive and mitigate risk


Requirements

  • 3-5 years of HR/Talent or management support experience
  • Proven ability to work independently and exercise discretion and wisdom
  • Direct and clear communicator; unafraid to put thoughts on the table and engage in a low ego back and forth
  • Ability to report and analyze information, synthesize themes, and use data and principles to inform a recommendation
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and handle multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision
  • High growth start-up experience a plus
  • Happy to work in our NYC office 5 days a week
  • Able to travel to our London and Tel Aviv offices as needed

The target annual base salary range for this position is $125,000 – $140,000 and is dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, job-related experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills. In addition to base salary, the compensation package for this role includes an annual discretionary bonus and company equity. This role is also eligible to participate in company-sponsored benefits and perks.
