We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Director based in Europe or the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to support our international teams. As a hands-on creative leader, you will drive the evolution of VAST’s brand identity and visual communications globally. You will ensure our brand reflects our values, meets our business objectives, and resonates with our diverse audience. You will oversee all aspects of our international brand strategy, design projects, and creative direction while actively participating in the design work. This role requires a unique blend of creative vision, strategic thinking, leadership skills, and hands-on design expertise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creative Leadership: Lead and inspire internal and external designers and creative professionals to produce exceptional visual content.
- Hands-on Design: Actively engage in designing and creating high-quality visual assets, ensuring consistency and excellence in all brand communications.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and executive teams to align design initiatives with business goals and campaigns.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop design talent, with the potential to build and lead a design team in the future.
- Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Cross-Platform Design: Ensure cohesive and compelling design across all channels, including digital platforms, print materials, events, and presentations.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest design trends, tools, and best practices to keep our brand at the forefront of visual innovation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in brand design and creative direction, preferably in the software or tech industry, with a proven track record of success.
- Exceptional hands-on design skills with proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire creative teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, visual identity, and storytelling.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work across different cultures and time zones, as the role supports the international team.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
