JOB SUMMARY

VAST Data is searching for a high energy, experienced, Events Manager to join our expanding marketing team supporting the EMEA and APJ region. He/she will be responsible for the end-to-end development and execution of the event plan that includes event targeting, conference & tradeshow calendar.

You will work closely with the field marketing and regional sales teams to understand region-specific priorities, in addition to partnering with the Corporate Marketing team, to build a Go-to-Market event strategy for EMEA and APJ. You are responsible for driving pipeline through conferences and tradeshows to meet and exceed revenue goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute event strategies for high-impact conferences and tradeshows across EMEA and APJ regions, driving brand visibility and market penetration
  • Own the creation and management of a comprehensive annual third-party conference event calendar, ensuring strategic alignment with business objectives
  • Lead end-to-end event management across all dimensions—from strategic planning through post-event analysis—encompassing booth asset allocation, creative production, optimal placement strategies, and complete sponsorship fulfilment
  • Partner effectively across cross-functional teams including field/channel marketing, PR, customer advocacy, product marketing, demand generation, and BDR organizations to maximize customer engagement and market awareness
  • Facilitate pre-event alignment meetings and post-event debriefs with stakeholders to communicate planning elements, address concerns, and capture actionable insights that elevate future initiatives
  • Maintain rigorous oversight of budgets, project timelines, resource allocation, and quality standards to ensure flawless event execution
  • Establish clear, measurable goals for each event—including targeted lead generation metrics—and track results to demonstrate ROI and program impact

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on event marketing experience, with proven expertise in planning and managing large-scale trade shows and industry conferences
  • Demonstrated success in the technology sector (software and/or hardware), with an understanding of tech industry dynamics, buyer personas, and market trends
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and unwavering accuracy in all deliverables
  • Proven experience onboarding, coordinating, and managing multiple external vendors simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
  • Self-directed and autonomous, thriving in remote collaboration environments while effectively communicating with dispersed global teams
  • Creative problem-solver who drives efficiency and delivers results with minimal supervision or guidance
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across all levels; fluency in additional European languages is a plus
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with adaptability to changing priorities
  • Strong team player with genuine enthusiasm for collaborative work, skilled at building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to support event presence and cross-regional activities
